The Steelhead® One-Way Reefer Bulkhead is a lightweight, heavy-duty corrugated partition designed to help create separate temperature zones inside refrigerated trailers.
Each bulkhead is designed for one refrigerated shipment and is not intended for reuse. After delivery, it is 100% recyclable at the destination, eliminating the cost and logistics of recovering lost bulkheads, return shipping, cleaning and storing a traditional reusable bulkhead.
Manufactured from heavy-duty corrugated material selected for refrigerated and high-moisture environments, the bulkhead works with the trailer's existing refrigeration system to help separate frozen and chilled cargo zones. Flexible perimeter flaps help accommodate variations between trailer interiors and limit unwanted air transfer between compartments.
Patent-Protected Design
Developed specifically for refrigerated transportation, the SteelHead® One-Way Reefer Bulkhead combines heavy-duty corrugated construction, flexible perimeter flaps and SteelHead® airflow-control technology in one integrated design.
A built-in locking airflow window can be opened to allow refrigerated air to move between compartments. When greater temperature separation is needed, the windows close and lock into place.
Because the window is integrated directly into the bulkhead, there are no separate covers, plugs or loose components to install, store or misplace.

Temperature Results from a Cross-Country Shipment
